Comment from Rhoda Grant MSP on the ongoing crisis in NHS staffing.

 8 September 2017

“NHS Highland staff have repeatedly raised the failures to fill the vacancies across the Highlands, and this has now reached crisis point in radiology, with the doctors being forced to raise this themselves following a lack of action from the board.

"Continuing problems with recruitment and training have been making matters worse, and this whole situation has been getting out of hand.

“It is such a dire situation that one wonders if this is what caused three members of the board to resign and if so how many more will follow.

“This is an urgent situation impacting on the whole of Scotland, so the Scottish Government must get a grip on the NHS staffing emergency.”
