Rhoda Grant welcomes output forecast increase for Harris Tweed

Responding to the announcement that the Harris Tweed industry looks set for brighter times with output forecast to increase by 30% on 2009 figures, Highlands and Islands Labour MSP Rhoda Grant said:

"It is wonderful to have news of a thriving industry in the current climate.

"Harris Tweed has long been recognised as a quality product and this has helped it buck the economic trends.

"The investment in Skills and Training has very obviously paid dividends and I do hope that funding will be found to continue this good work."
